Surfing at Montauk Light house beach is very popular, Surfers enjoy the waves from the Beaches located at either side of the lighthouse. You can access the Beach on the northern side of the lighthouse if you take the path located just to the right of the Gift shop located across from the main entrance of the Montauk Lighthouse parking lot. Other entrances include a path that is just off to the left and the right as you are walking toward the lighthouse. If you enter from Camp Hero State park and make a left onto the first dirt road, this will lead you down to a parking area for your vehicle situated just to the right of the lighthouse near the rocks.
